Personal Item: number 5 bracelet? His lucky vest? Book of Sudoku puzzles? Can I wait 'til introing to decide for certain? (it will be something powerless either way)
Why is your character here: To be with--or at least, get some answers from--the one that got away.

Character history: Unexceptional student Junpei is just a few months away from college graduation when he's kidnapped and whisked off to a sinking cruise ship to take part in a 'nonary game'--a set of logic and number puzzles laced with explosives and wrapped in a ten year old revenge plot. Of course, he quickly gets distracted from the danger to his wellbeing when he runs into Akane, his best friend from elementary school, now a lovely and nubile adult. At this, he redoubles his efforts to get her out of the nonary game and/or out of her pants. After a series of confusing puzzles in increasingly creepy settings, real and supposed exploded people, endless exposition, and countless dumb quips, he is finally able to save Akane by transcending time and space to help her complete a sudoku puzzle. She rewards him by skipping the cruise ship (incidentally located in Nevada) without him, leaving him to chase after her forever.

Which he does! Along the way, he gets caught up in some sort of shady testing facility in space maybe and spends a few months wearing florescent green jumpsuits doing tests and generally being berated by his team for being a doofus and wishing they would do well enough to win a private place to have "alone time" (spoilers: this never happened). And then some more stuff happened and eventually he ended up back on his starcrossed search for Kanny because sometimes people just really get into your head and you can't quite get them out.

Character personality:   If you ask others about Junpei, you'll get glowing descriptions like 'oh, that loser?' or 'what a jackass' or 'he's kind of an idiot.' He himself would be the first to admit he's a fairly unremarkable guy; he likes girls and colorful vests and bad jokes, internal monologues and solving logic problems and punching walls. He is the kind of guy who isn't afraid of looking stupid, which is good since he often does. He's more a grunt than an idea man, he'll listen to extended theories on mutations and high-temperature ice while locked in a freezer, or theories on idea projection and shared consciousnesses while standing around a bathroom, but he rarely has much to add. That said, he has a surprising knack for figuring out math problems.

In general, He's no natural hero and about as far as you can get from a Jesus-type, but he's a generally friendly, good guy. ...Except when he does stuff like leave other guys to die so he doesn't have to separate from his not!girlfriend for 15 minutes. But that doesn't really count.

Skill loss or memory loss?
Memory loss (h-ha, Junpei having 'skills')

Amnesiac Personality:  While Junpei does have various flaws, he is pretty true to himself, and as an amnesiac he'll be fairly close to his canon personality. The main difference will be that without his memories of being stuck in various life-threatening "games," he'll be considerably less jaded (and subsequently more likely to be surprised, scared, or hurt) by the competitions. His love of bad puns, strong(?) sense of justice, soft spot for animals and fondness for cute girls will remain unchanged.

SURVEY:
Introduce yourself:
Junpei's the name, nonary's my game. ...Uh, not really, to be honest I don't ever wanna be in one of those again. Maybe I should've picked something different...damn, I should've paid more attention to sports.

Favorite color?
What's the nearest pretty girl wearing? Ha ha ha...seriously though, I like a bunch of colors, but I guess if I had to pick I'd go with red and blue.
What do you pride yourself on?
My rapier wit, my sharp sense of style, and my talent with the ladies~

What parts of yourself do you consider most essential?
Uh, all of them? You're not trying to dismember me, are you?

What parts of yourself would you get rid of if you could?
Sometimes it feels like someone else is telling me what to do or what to look at or how to act... It kinda freaks me out. So I could let that go! But otherwise I think I'm a pretty decent guy?
What’s most important to you in the world?
I'm just a regular joe. It probably sounds pretty corny, but I just want a normal life like anybody else, knowing that the people I care about are alright.
How far would you go to get what you want?
Uhh... Is this like that other question about my important parts? Look, I'm not the one who put anyone in danger so what's the big deal?
Do you believe in survival of the fittest as applied in a social context?
I'm not some bleeding heart thinking we need to give handouts to welfare queens or anything like that... But sometimes people are trying, and they're in a bad spot, and in that case we should help them. I mean, you've gotta try to survive, sure. But I don't think you can have a society where all you do is step on people to get yourself over... Uhh... Do I need references for this? I never did get around to writing that final dissertation...
What role do you feel most comfortable fufilling in a team situation?
I tend to end up less of a thinker and more a doer--when they need someone to look in the toilet for screwdrivers or to play the slot machines until a key comes out, that's usually my job. But I can come up with some sweet plans if I've gotta!
Do you believe you made good choices?
Depending on how you think about it, who knows if I was making all that many choices after all? ...Either way, I've done what I could with the cards I've been dealt. After all the stuff that's happened to me...doesn't really matter if it's a good way or a bad way. I'm gonna find Kanny again, and so long as the choices I make get me closer, that's all that matters.
